quote:

All Destin restaurants suck

That’s simply not true and couldn’t be further from the truth. It’s a blatant lie.

Why is this attitude/trend of “(Whatever City’s) restaurants all suck!” considered to be a “cool” thing to say?

Ah they really are not good. ?? have lived in area for about a decade and the food just is not good. The best places in the area are not in Destin it’s in Niceville and Pensacola. Grayton beach has some better places though

I lived there for 10+ years.. I know destin inside out

There is a small handful of decent restaurants. The rest all suck and rip you off.

If you think you are an eating fresh gulf fish - you are sadly mistaken.

The only consistent quality restaurants in destin (proper) are McGuires and Dewey Destin’s - As much as I love Boshamps - it’s always hit or miss and extremely overpriced.

Last time I was there - the Oysters Boshamps were $37 for a dozen and they were tiny! What the frick.

In the 10+ years I have lived there.. At least 5 people I know who visited me where we all went out to eat different times/different years got severe food poisoning by eating contaminated seafood

So before talking shite because y’all visit the area once or twice per year - you have no idea wtf y’all are talking about.

Oh I’m sure y’all want the names of the restaurants where the food poisoning happened

- Harbor Docks
- LuLu’s
- Backporch
- Surf Hut
- Fish On (old Callaghan’s)
