LSU Baseball Game 3 Runs Allowed

Ms St - L, 10 run ruled (15 runs in 8 innings)
Florida - L, 10 run ruled (12 runs in 8 innings)
Arky - L, 5-7
Vandy - L, 10 run ruled (13 runs in 8 innings)
Tenn - L, 4-8
Mizz - W, 6-2
Auby (worst team in league) - L, 5-7
Excluding Mizzou, we haven't held any conference teams under 7 runs in game 3. Without mercy rule, we'd have 2-3 games with >=15 runs allowed.
Hard to make the post season when you average 9.1 runs allowed on Sunday (likely >10 without mercy rule)

They don’t deserve to make it, period.

They definitely don’t at this point but if they do end up winning enough over the next 3 weekends they will most certainly have earned it. It will be a very tall task

Team lacks a killer instinct.
Should have been able to put the bottom feeder away at home today after seemingly playing better.
Just not the year for this team.

and we don't start our best pitcher
and give the game away in the 1st inning
JJ ain't competing

You need to look no further than that NUMBER 1 class for the collapse. They are all sluggers and none are real hitters that you can count on. SO slumps? Maybe.
Hell, they even rubbed off on White

Obviously we don't have the pitching depth to seriously compete with top tier SEC teams in Game 3s. But what's worse to me is how little we hit in Game 3s. We scored 5 runs against the worst team in the SEC in Game 3 AT THE BOX in late April? We're 1-6 in Game 3s period?
I think that speaks to not just a lack of talent, but a lack of something else. Competitiveness? Heart? I'm not sure what the right word is and don't want to call anybody a quitter or anything, but this particular group of players just doesn't seem to have the right chemistry to overcome adversity. I'm not saying any individual player does this consciously, but they seem to roll over and lay down more easily if they get down early. Especially compared to the battling some of the great teams of the past have done.
Oh well, too late in the season to change our identity that much. We are who we are. And for whatever reason, this mix of players just hasn't produced like a great team. The sum is less than the total of its parts. And though I'm sure people will do it, I'm not even sure there's anybody to blame, necessarily. shite happens.

Yeah but hold that tiger 10 told said we were going to be fine offensively because of all those hits we got against VMI

meeting the average 9 Sunday runs allowed in just 5th inning
We just can't win on Sundays with this pitching depth. Will be very hard to clinch a regional even if we can win game 1 and 2
