When two objects are next to each other and the sun is behind them casting the same amount of sunlight, you would expect for the shadows to be parallel to each other and not one being at a 90 degree angle. Just one of the observations made from one of the photos from the moon landing.

Because there are factors that influence a photographic picture such as the perspective of where it was taken, the terrain of the area, etc.
