I’d say whenever they stopped playing in sweaters and leather hats. But let’s be honest real football started after 71’. But if it makes y’all sleep better at night to count that extra natty, go for it. Other teams do it so should we!!! Print the shirts!!

That's bullshite.

The Yale Beast, the single wing, and the Notre Dame Box are still being used successfully today, not only in derivative forms but in direct form.

Many of us watched football in the 60s. Some would say that is more REAL football than what is played today.

You’re right. It didn’t really become football until targeting penalties became a thing.
