Based on my life experiences dominating teachers/coaches I have little faith in the academic staff defending themselves much less the students.
Told the story on here before, …
7th grade and Mr. Murphy (who was normally a pretty decent guy) was having a rough day as the entire class were being little turds. He taught science so we were at tables not desks and started slapping tabletops with a blue yardstick. SMACK!
I wasn’t paying attention to him so when he got to our table, next to the outdoor wall and the open windows, he smacked the table next to me.
I looked at him.
I looked at the ruler.
I picked up the ruler and tossed it out the window, 2nd floor.
Mr. Murphy stood there with his jaw hanging for several seconds then looked at the ruler in the quad and left to go get it back. (Yes he came back with the principal too, all I got was a finger wagging. Had dominated the principal too. Could be why he wholeheartedly supported the idea to promote me to 10th/11th grade?)
