You can’t go wrong with taking some cheap round steaks from the supermarket, hitting them hard with some pepper, tossing them in the crockpot with whatever veggies you have around (onions, bell peppers, carrots, potatoes, etc) and pouring enough stock/water to partially cover the meat.
