I think it has a better chance to be repealed at the federal level first the way it's looking.

Of course. Hell we were the final state in the south to pass constitutional carry. Every state surrounding us had CC. fricking Vermont and New Hampshire even had it before Louisiana.
Lobbies and special interests run this state pretty much like no other. No doubt all the usual suspects have their hands in this... sheriff's association, DA association, alcohol lobby, etc.
