Yes - especially because, if you don't, the backup of cars waiting to turn often blocks lanes of traffic. Honestly my entire life I believed this was the law and I assumed everyone would know what I meant by "continuing left" in this thread. I've heard that phrase dozens of time. I never expected this thread to be so controversial.
