There's an account on TikTok (yeah, I know), who will dissect those videos with great little drawings to explain their mindset, and he makes it all make sense. Account is hoe_math.

Here's his YT page. Funny thing is the first one I listened to gave an example of a wife who was disgusted and uncomfortable with her husband opening up to her emotionally after losing his job.
