OT Electricians

I pulled the trigger on the chiller/heater for my pool. I am responsible for the electricity. I know nothing about electricity, but I am told it will need a 60 amp breaker. The breaker box is external and on the same wall as my pool equipment. The length to run the wire is approximately 60 feet long. Any ideas on what I should expect to pay? $350? $700? $1050.....

Shouldn’t you have figured out the cost of electrical work before pulling the trigger on the project?

Not really. I am going to pay whatever it is. I was just curious if anyone else may have had this done that could shed some light. The project is not dependant on the electrical cost.

Most likely its a 60A 240V circuit they need, but pool guys are idiots so get them to send the specs of the unit over and forward those to the electrician so he can verify what they actually need.
My guess is $1000-1500.

hire an electrician before you cause a fire or get someone killed

Bless yours too Sweetie Pie... ((Hugs)) Sarc/off
Unless you have a good friend who is an electrician and can help you,
you are looking at 2 grand easy.
Copper Wire ain't cheap and they are going to have to bury all of it. It is a little more to it than you think.
Report back and let us know.
Btw .. I didn't mean to insult you. I was just shocked at your naivete and came across as harsh. I really didn't mean that.
