I did something similar… when I was like 7.
A friend and I rode our bikes to the gas station at 51st and Sheridan in Tulsa (lived there as a kid and a few times as an adult). They were building the strip shopping center next door and we stopped to investigate.
It was on one end of the strip and nothing but cinderblock walls and metal roof. They were preparing to install foam insulation and had big rolls of it stacked against the inner wall.
We had bought a couple of boxes of matches and cinnamon oil and toothpicks. One thing led to another and I just decided, screw it, time to move on. So I laid out a short line of matches leading to the box on top of one of the rolls of insulation. After I lit it we rode off to a nearby wooded lot to watch.
It was a HUGE fire and had at least 2 stations respond. We rode away thinking how lucky we were to not get caught.
