re: Hardest class or topic you had in high school?

Algebra. We had a teacher who was leaving and she was determined to go out with a bang. We had 6 pages of notes the first day and she didn’t write anything on the board.

Class started with 32, ended with 12, first 2 to drop it were the valedictorian and salutatorian, neither wanted to risk their grades and both were gone by day 3. One guy annoyed her, but stuck it out just because he both knew he got under her skin and liked it. She put his desk by itself and walked around it lecturing.

We finished course work before Christmas and ended up spending the last half of the year on Calculus, a course we didn't even have in school. Only C I ever got in high school was the first 6 weeks, nobody got better than a B.
