VW was SHOCKED after the first vote failed in Tennessee because they preferred dealing with the UAW....they have said as much many times about their facility in Tennessee...THEY, VW Management, wanted a UAW contract in place...it is their preferred method of doing business, negotiating with a small number of people instead of thousands of individuals AND being able to tell the world that their employers are well compensated and have good benefits...I know the latter is simply sickening to far too many people but VW prefers being known as an employer that pays its production costs instead of low balling its workers. If you study the history of VW there is an obvious reason for their preference in this area....
