re: Flying termites

I turn off every outside light source when they swarm and try to limit light exposure from the interior lights by having my working shutters closed and with the slats also closed.

I do have a street light about 40 ft. outside my front door and they swarm around it by the hundreds every night during their spring swarm.

I do have a neighbor that I wind up calling at least 2-3 times a week to let him know his automatic lights are coming on and attracting hundreds, if not thousands of termites right to the corners of his house at the gutter line. Why he doesn't just turn them off during the swarm is beyond me.
