Yes it does. He spoke it into existence. In the beginning was the Word. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
Its kinda weird that when he spoke everything into existence he didn't leave the book with all he wanted to us to know as part of everything.
He had to wait for us to invent writing and then tell a human what to write.
