Yeah they are taking their sweet time with this.

Are they replacing the curb or something? I know drainage was shite.

it looks like they're addressing/adding the drainage as they make their way down each side adding a new curb. Eventually it looks like they'll asphalt over the current road base. Absolutely absurd that it's been almost a year with this god-awful road.

For starters, laying asphalt in the cold weather is not recommended. You need consistently hot weather without rain. Timing the product to get down here is tricky.

God I hope they fix the drainage. That Nicholson asphalt was only 12 years old when it had to be ripped up. I remember commuting on it when it was being re-done back in 2010. That’s practically brand new by Louisiana standards. It’s a good bet the standing water issue caused it to age faster.
