SFP was being intentionally obtuse there, he was doing his SFP thing.
No doubt

He had to create a scenario in his head where CJ and Jose would play shooting guard, and not Herb, the guy who has played shooting guard for us for 3 seasons, and allowing us to finally get the other guy, Trey, that we've been trying to get in the starting lineup for 2 seasons.

He had to pretend ALL of that didn't exist to make his Trae/Jose or Trae/CJ failed point.

It was just awful work by him.

The next comment was going to be that Trae isn't a PG and that Dejounte was the PG, so Trae would be taking the place of Herb in the starting lineup, so who are you starting him next to?
Probably, but that would be just another dumb argument

You’re not getting a bonafide superstar player for BI. It’s gonna be some high level all star capable players with red flags like Trae or KAT. I’d take a chance with either. I’d be okay with trading BI for Mobley but then you lose offensive creation and need to replace that elsewhere.

Feels risky to trade a player who creates his own offense for a guy who can’t. Especially when you don’t have many guys on the team who can create for themselves.

Only if you think Trae is a wining player at point guard, which history has shown to not be true
