I don’t know how old you are, but when I was a kid, Red Lobster was considered “fancy” middle class dining. The kind of place you went to on special occasions.
I haven’t been to a RL in over 30 years, so maybe the quality changed. I’ve just never been a big seafood fan.

This is how they viewed Red Lobster up in Northeast Wisconsin, this is the place you went when you had a major accomplishment since the only other "seafood" you would normally eat were friday night fish frys during Lent.
