mice love to chew wires, and they often like to crawl through the fresh air ducts and move into your dash fan motor housing.

if you can get some aggressive semi feral cats, they will kill all of the above pests

also, a good pellet gun with scope, will greatly reduce the squirrel populations and no one outside of 15 ft from you can hear it
