Man I haven’t heard the name Jones Sporting goods in a long time. Shad rigs have caught boat loads of specks before all these fancy soft baits were thought of.

How about West Bros. , Howard Bros, and Gibson’s. I have baits from all of them. 50 years old and older.
I even have some popping bugs from Accardo Tackle in Baton Rouge.
Dr Tommy Kilroy ( BR Orthopedic and LSU Team Doctor ) used to work there as a kid painting those bugs. The place was in his neighborhood. He couldn’t believe it when I pulled some out of my box one day.
