Maybe the online course lawyers on here can explain why it is a requirement for a defendant to be in court for this when he has lawyers to represent him. This is a bullshite trial to start with about a made up offense

I'm more than a online course lawyer and am perplexed by this as well. Whether not attending may be a questionable strategy is one thing, but the only thing I can figure is that the requirement would preclude later assertions of ineffective counsel - as the purpose of being present is so the defendant can assist in his own defense.

There is zero requirement that trump be present
