I like the DR PRO XLDRT Model and it's available now for $850.00.

Do your research, read the reviews, etc. A garden that size needs a good tiller and you can sometimes find good used ones on Craigslist or other places on the net that has things for sale.

My garden plot is roughly 20 x 50 and before Katrina I had bought a used 8 HP Troybilt Horse tiller and that thing was a mule. It turned over the soil in no time and being self-propelled make quick work with 2 forward speeds and 1 reverse speed. It sat in the floodwaters for over 2 weeks and I didn't have time to mess with it with getting the house back in order.

Tillers are probably getting top price right now and often go on sale in the fall/winter months.

Not sure where you live but it's getting a bit late to put in a summer garden for many things since the heat will not be kind to new plants in a couple months time.
