Iran celebrating getting all their missiles and drones shot down.
So...we gave 10 billion to Iran, which they used to buy missiles and drones.
And then shoot them at Israel, who we give BILLIONS to develop and maintain a crazy defense system.
The missiles and drones get shot out the shy, ineffectually, by the Iron Dome.
So...basically we are just out massive amounts of money,
While in debt and the common people are getting kicked by inflation, and nothing changes?

Most of the money we give is for DOD contractor gift cards.
I don’t know the details of Iran by any means. But it would be like us giving gift cards to Iran for Lockheed Martin missile purchases and gift cards to Israel for Northrop Grumman missile defense systems.
I’m absolutely not justifying or saying we should do it, just that it’s not like (or we aren’t supposed to be) giving them actual cash they then go and buy Chinese missiles with.
ETA: so a good bit of that money is coming back directly to the USA DOD contractors and thus jobs and the economy. Again, not justifying it. Just reiterating we aren’t just sending brief cases of money to never be seen again. Usually…
