Tattooing of the flesh has long been regarded as something “out of the norm” until recently (probably the last 20 years). Usually reserved for MEN in gangs or prisoners or in the military. Men on the fringes of society. Rebels, if you will.

FEMALES tattooing themselves is a very recent phenomenon (if you were born in the 70s or the 80s- do you think your grandmother has tattoos?) and it’s an outward sign of mental/emotional instability. Females tend to do something to their appearance after experiencing trauma. Ever seen a chick lop all of her hair off Or dye it a different color after a breakup? It’s the same thing with tattoos. Typically, emotionally/mentally healthy women choose NOT to mar their bodies permanently with ink or piercings. I’m sure there are exceptions to the rule, but ALL of the women that I’ve encountered over my 47 plus years in life that had tattoos/piercings were very emotionally/mentally unstable (which is probably the same experience for the other men of the OT here).
It’s like a primal instinct in the wild when an animal sees another animal that has certain types of markings, it serves as a warning to others and they know to avoid it.
Same thing with humans. Typically, The more tatted up she is, the crazier she is.
Yeah that’s good in the sack but no one wants to marry a woman like that or bring her around his employer at the company Christmas party.

Tattoos now have become so prevalent that even the geek in accounting has a tat.
Hence, NOT having tattoos in 2024 makes you a rare person in Western society.
