There is nothing hyperbole about saying Jordan Sears is a good pickup. Or Cam Carter. No one said they will take us to the SEC championship. The fact that people find the need to "temper" expectations is ridiculous. What expectations? That we might be better next year? We shouldn't have that type of expectation? That's the stupidity of all of this. And the reason Wade is brought up is because these calls for "tempered" expectations or negativity come from The Wade cult so of course he's brought up. They say MM needs to get a veteran PG in portal. He does. An exceptional PG in the conference he played in. Not just another but one of the best. A PG who is basically here to give Givens the opportunity to work into the role with less pressure to play right away. So we should automatically say he won't be successful because of where he played even though he averaged 20 ppg against SEC teams? He's a PG. he's not being brought here to be the primary scorer. How about the Wade cult "temper" their expectations about Mcmahon sucking next year. There's a novel idea. Because they continue to say he'll suck no matter who he signs. This is a one sided argument. I don't see any hyperbole about Mcmahon signings although his 3 HS signees are solid gets and hopefully he can build on those just like Ward, Reed and Williams. But of course we must temper our expectations for those players and just assume they won't be worth a crap because Mcmahon signed them. Or the fact that he redshirted Chest and still got him and Collins to stay. But we should probably assume they will suck too. Temper those expectations. LOL.
