I don't understand. Y'all ordered in different lanes? How was it determined that he "ordered first" (like, was it clearly much sooner?) and how would you jump in front of him if so? If you moved behind the car that came out of his lane, I would guess it would be your "turn" to go. I would also guess it's all basically a wash time-wise, so it seems like a stupid thing for anyone to get upset about either way.

Yes, a lot of CFAs have two Drive Thru lanes side by side, with people outside taking your order in each. They then merge to one lane past that. They have people outside at the pickup window who are giving it to each car. The attendants at checkout have entered your car info and name so they know which is which.
And the answer is Zipper. How the hell do you know if the other guy ordered first?
