There was a Hawaiian Air flight about 30-40 years ago where the top of the fuselage ripped off and turned the plane into a convertible. A flight attendant that was walking the aisle got sucked out over the Pacific Ocean. Hopefully she hit her head or something and was unconscious but imagine being in that situation. One second you're asking the person in 3A if they want another drink and the next you're just free falling over the ocean with no parachute and several minutes to contemplate your regrets in life.

Even if the thought occurs to you to try to hit the water like Greg Louganis with toes pointed down and a straight line trajectory so that by some miracle of physics you might survive the impact, then you're still stuck in the shark infested ocean with two broken legs.
