You do realize your flashers don't help me one bit. It's easier to see solid taillights than taillights that are going off and on.

In a heavy downpour you can’t always see the vehicle in front of you, so hazards help with that.

Also, taillights are not hazards, so it should not be confusing. Red Break lights indicate stopping while Yellow hazards indicate slower driving and caution, or low visibility.
