Online it says can be applied to wood when it's still "damp", the carpenter says the lumber has to dry out for months before putting on the paint/stain.

It's an opaque stain color dd3113.

What say yall?

Wait a little - won't hurt. I can't imagine a reason it needs to be done right away???

I used this for my deck. Let it dry out. Those guys paint and then go to the next job, never looking back.

I don’t have any experience with this product, but I’d let the deck dry out for a couple months. I’ve seen the effects of a prematurely painted deck. It sucks.

It sounds a little gimmicky to me, but I’m kind of old school.

How long to wait? Any rule of thumb? Moisture meter?
