I always had the feeling that LSU at one time intended to use the toonces logo behind the geaux font as the new helmet logo when you suddenly could find nothing with the old tiger head on it. I don't have any proof of that, but it's whole launch and constant shove-down-the-public's-throat seemed like it. Did anyone else ever have that impression?

If we're going to change anything it should be changing back to The Old majestic Tiger Logo, and Toonces should by put back in the closet with "new coke" and other bad "updates" I feel cheated out of all the history of LSU when I look at Toonces. Stupid but can't help it.

Actually Cannon and LSU did wear all gold but with shoulder stripes. Around 1957.

I saw a nice picture in someone's avatar a minute ago with Trindon Holliday wearing all white with a white helmet.
Is it possible or completely out of the question? Same with the gold jerseys from years ago.
