Could also be bad habits in usage. My mother killed a circuit board on her Wolf double oven by leaving the door ajar to let the oven cool after baking something. That allowed hot air to get pulled across the circuit board by the internal cooling fans, a $400 mistake. I've had to tell my fiancee' and her mother not to do the same, something I guess people learned to do from their parents but is simply not done with newer ovens that either have fan-cooled controls or have dedicated exhaust path to let the heat out without damaging the controls.
