Raising teachers' salaries would attract more quality individuals, and raising the standards along with the pay would also help. However, Louisiana is going in the opposite direction and is looking to lower the standards by removing the requirement of a 4-year degree and the praxis teachers take.

Louisiana needs to attract more quality individuals to be parents. That is the only way to fix public school education in this state.
