Perfect scenario:
Mavs drop 3 of their last 4 (with games against the Hornets, Heat, Pistons, and OKC I don’t see that happening). The Suns drop one and Pels win out to clinch the 5 seed.

More Realistic Ideal Scenario:
Pels go 3-1 over their last 4 while the Suns drop 2 of their last 4 (against Clips x2, Kings, and Minnesota). Pels clinch the 6 and match up with hopefully Minnesota or OKC.

Likely Scenario:
Pels go 2-2 and match Suns record but lose tiebreaker falling to the 7 or 8 seed and in the play-in against Sacramento or LAL.

Worst case scenario:
Pels go 1-3 or 0-4 and fall to the 9 or 10 seed.

Why not just let the cards fall instead of wasting head space on all of these hypothetical scenarios?

A more perfect scenario: Pels don’t lose a game from here on out to the NBA Championship!!!!!

Am I right in looking at the records of the Lakers and the Warriors and seeing that they may not have any need in winning the last two games and could rest some players?
