Congrats for really stepping out for a new experience after ten years. Your world is the Caribbean. You could have spent a week and a half in Spain if you planned better. But it's just the Caribbean. If that's what makes you happy, I guess, but if you intend to stay married, the Caribbean is considerably underwhelming for a 10yr.

I guess you guys like that kind of thing, but there's no way I would have done that during my marriage. I want to hit Jordan, Argentina, etc., not... fricking Mexico.

Heaven forbid someone wants to relax for a few days with his wife, eat a late breakfast, nap and not be too jet lagged on the return to normal life.

Probably won’t fit in the budget for a full 5 day trip, but the one and only north of puerto Vallarta is pretty great. Could pair it with the hacienda San Angel which is in town and a good couples spot.
