#7: LSU Tigers

The losses of Reese (declared for WNBA) and Hailey Van Lith (transfer portal) are notable but hardly devastating for Kim Mulkey. In fact, there now might be room for Flau'jae Johnson to become the new face of the program and for Mikaylah Williams and Aneesah Morrow to put up much bigger numbers. The further development of 6-6 Aalyah Del Rosario and the healthy return of Sa'Myah Smith, who missed most of the season with a knee injury, will be key.

This program will be a perennial top 10 championship contender until Mulkey leaves. And the media's tears will be delicious.

“Way too early” is right. With the add-ons from the portal, this team will be a solid Final Four contender.

And there’s a whole thread on the subject so not being repetitive, and no disrespect to Hailey Van Lith, but she was just a bad fit.

So not only is she not a “loss,” this team will be better off without her.

Need a PG and some depth, but I think they’ll be a great team that might actually be better with Reece/HVL gone by tournament time next year.

Two incoming freshmen PGs along with a possible stud PG in the portal will key. Improving bench depth and outside shooting is how you challenge SC.

A smaller lineup of whoever at PG, Williams, Johnson, Morrow and Smith will be very scary.

Next year the ladies will be more balanced. Kim has thrived with teams like this.
