That bat is very durable. I’d let him hit weighted balls with it. Only thing I’d avoid is hitting below 50 degrees with it or off a pitching machine. Weighted balls don’t break a bat. They’re soft. Excessive swings on a pitching machine breaks youth bats. But the Marucci are the most durable on the market.
