Black people are mad the white girl is getting all the attention. If you take away hoops they got nothing.

Exactly. It’s why they so mad about the attention she gets. They don’t want to admit the attention women’s basketball is getting is 100% because of her.

Same with the jealousy that shows when others speak about Luka, Joker and the other Europeans leading the NBA. They see what’s happening and can’t stand it.

my wife is a WBB fan but doesn't pay attention to the politics outside of it.

she noticed that ESPN was all over CC, but it seemed like most of the media hated her this year.

i said it's because she's, white, kinda prettyish, and straight and takes the focus off of black athletes.

she said that was ridiculous. i said the only reason ESPN as a whole pumps her up is because she's a ratings booster and they are mostly the sole proprietor of WCBB and the tournament. Going after her is going after their golden goose.

listen to what former players actually say about her when it's not at the behest of ESPN. She did and said yeah, they actually hate her and Mulkey.

I'm not going to pretend like Staley isn't wildly talented and capable or one of the GOATs, she of course, is. Full stop.

But listen to the way they talk about Staley vs Mulkey who both have fairly equal accomplishments on and off the court. Staley (again, not denying her talent and accomplishments) flies off the handle at criticism regularly and inserts the race card. She can be wildly incoherent at times. Mulkey can be a salty old broad, but she gets her point across a lot better.

I know he's probably cancer to most the board, but Jason Whitlock laid out why they hate Mulkey and Clark very succinctly in a podcast recently.
