I’m talking about coming into this season. He didn’t pitch at all in the summer or fall. He only hit and played SS/2B. He didn’t do well, so they moved him back to only being a PO in the spring. I’m asking you if the coaching staff thought our pitching staff was deep and we were thin as SS & 2B, which they did and that’s why Pearson and Neal were getting reps at 2B, why did they move Guidry from being an IF back to being a PO?

He had to make a decision for himself. Guidry made that decision!
He fought gaining weight while being a 2-way for 2 off seasons. He talked to coach about not pitching this year but was told there was no way he wouldn’t be pitching this year after what he did last year. CJJ didn’t think he was thin at middle infield but that has proved to be wrong. Guidry would have been playing behind someone because they had 2 years experience and he had 0. He had his guy!
