Which is what a lot of media is getting wrong these days. Media, including video games, have long made political statements. I may find its political “critique” of libertarianism (or more accurately, Objectivism) to be off base, but Bioshock is still one of my favorite gaming experiences of all time, as the execution of the game, and game world, was incredible. It seems like a recent phenomenon that game devs have decided that making a political statement is not only necessary, but sufficient, to making a good game. That’s what keeps burning them.

100%. LOVE BIOSHOCK. And I disagree on it's take on libertarianism is as well.

It's not just that there's politics, it's more that it's the same exact left wing political theories/slogans/movements, etc. In every single piece of content.

It would be way more interesting if other political perspectives were allowed, but that's not what's happening as it's always the same exact cohort dictating everything.
