It's definitely oversaturated but I guess those guys took the Jay Z "I'm a business, man" route. Putting out content and getting a quarter million clicks in a few days is a living, it would appear.

There is a huge market for it - Shawn Ryan is a pretty awful interviewer by any objective measure but somehow he's cornered the market. It's crazy. I tell my wife these are akin to the fashion influencers she follows, but in credit to guys everywhere, at least our influencers have usually done something interesting prior to self-marketing.

That said, honestly I'm not too interested in the crossover to other things for most of them, especially if the crossover is really just advising instead of doing. I'd be so pissed if Jocko showed up at my office and I had to watch some power point on extreme ownership and client service instead of him running us through carbine drills or something.
