I stepped on a honey bee once when walking in the yard barefooted. It got me in the soft meat just between the big toe and the second toe.
I was taking down an old barn once and disturbed some sort of ground bee. They were pissed. One got me right behind the earlobe on the neck.

Also did that as a kid, except it was a bumble bee. It was weird because the instant that it happened, it felt like a jolt of electricity went through my entire leg up to my hip. Then it started to feel like a bee sting afterwards. It was a weird feeling looking back.
