That is somewhat true. They can follow her, unlike the LSU collective stuff... And they could keep paying her... But sitting on the Bench in the WNBA is a whole lot less facetime than National Championship caliber College basketball player. I'm sure some of it is contractual.. But I doubt there's not a way out for the company if isn't a winner.

It really does not matter if she plays or not in this social media influencer age.

Companies will be paying her for access to her social media following.
