The "bold strategy" of utilizing the Rookie QB contract window with solid additions to make the push for a deep playoff run?
Yes, I think it’s a bold strategy to sign a 28 year old RB coming off his worst season and a 30 year old wr coming off his worst season

It’s sexy names fans fall for, but on paper I don’t see it

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Mixon deal but I do think he does some little things that need and can help them finish drives better. I’m willing to take a risk Diggs can be reenergized in a new setting and they can get a couple good years from him. He will carry a lot less of the load in this WR group

There’s a whole other side of the ball that needed more work and I think they knocked it out of the park on that front

Texans just acquired a cancer. Bad idea.

Diggs fell out with the Vikes and Bills. Story will repeat itself. Maybe he will have a decent attitude for a year or two.

in theory i get what youre saying but with the other talent they have the texans arent asking them to take as much of the load they had to in their previous situations (moreso diggs than mixon). I think this has a higher likelyhood of working for them than if it were someone like the broncos or cadinals that have almost nothing making these moves. Youre really just needing one to two years of production from them to try and capitalize on the window you have. Worst case you still have the pieces you had before.
