The Jags owner wants to split costs 50/50 for the new stadium/stadium remodel they are proposing, and the city will own it. Seems like a decent deal for Jacksonville.

it's a terrible deal for the city
City is on the hook for all maintenance, upgrades, etc. It adds up quickly, especially for a sport that only plays 8 fricking home games.
Several cities took over stadiums and realized, it's a money pit of expenses, and they have to compete and upgrade, or risk teams whining and threatening to leave.
