Usps is shite... but it's a needed service. If one day the USPS is no more, FedEx and ups will increase their current prices by around 500%, imo. If we factor in ups and FedEx needing to build up more infrastructure to effectively replace the service of USPS, then they may jack up their prices 1000%. At that time, mailing anything will be considered a luxurious thing to do only if you are somewhat wealthy.

Your estimate is based on what?
Amazon built an infrastructure for delivery from 0, PDQ, and is profiting. But catastrophe?
