They shouldn’t be.
Minimum wage was never intended to be a liveable wage.
It’s a wage for a person who has minimal skill.
Want more pay? Develop a skill, or something that adds your value to an employer.

Is $15/hr (~$30k/yr) a living wage now? You can't afford to live on $30k a year, especially if you have a family. Minimum wage is, what, less than $20k/yr?
All those Walmart employees who aren't making shite or are forced into being part-time employees....who do you think pays for those folks? Your tax dollars are going toward healthcare, welfare, food stamps for gainfully employed people, all the while Walmart's shareholders and executives are pocketing more money than we can imagine.
