Most rich people and everyone below on the ladder have worked at a low level minimum wage job. Most of these people worked their way up to higher wages by means of time, education, promotion, etc. For those that didn't, someone before them, who valued them, did.
Sure minimum wage can't stay flat forever, but the way to achieve a wage increase is not by staying at a minimum wage job and pushing for an increase in minimum wage. No one should want to stay at a minimum wage job for long term, it is a temporary beginning phase of life, for most.
