iPhone and AT&T issue

My wife has the newest iPhone pro I believe, for some reason it has stopped working on cell coverage but works fine on wifi.

Apps do not load, can't use internet, texts and calls work fine.

It shows 5g, but it's like it's not getting actual 5g service, just what is required for text and calls.

Any thoughts?

I'd start with the proverbial, restart. Then once re-started, if issue still occurs, go to iphone settings and turn off cell service for a few mins AND wifi. Then re-enable cell service, see if problem exists.

Make sure she's on latest iOS via Settings. If all else fails, take it to ATT store but that should be last resort.

Are you using eSIM? If so, maybe delete it and redownload it.

It sounds more like she's not getting a data connection over 5G, because she has SMS and calls.

Is it everywhere, or in specific locations? I know that when my old phone would switch from Wifi calling to 5G when I was on a conference call leaving my house, it was going to drop until I got about a mile away.
