Why? People who hate him think Fanni is under assault and all this underhanded stuff to take down a Strong Black Woman just proves how guilty he is. People who love him view it as proof that the system is evil and out to get him. It ain't changing any minds away from the middle of the bell curve.

For people in the middle, it will range from "yeah, this looks dirty on the state's part" to "Trump puts himself in these positions".
