Like Kling left? Like Helmer left? You don’t know if he would have left. But had he stayed, and developed as he has at Arkansas, he would be starting and helping this team.

The point to take away from this is that players tend to get better with time, and we should relax a little about the guys on this team who haven’t yet met expectations. They still might.

Exactly. Nobody can say if he would have left. Bottom line is a kid from Louisiana played a major role in sweeping us this weekend.

Kling is in his second year and knew coming into his second year that the starting CF job was his.

He was 100% leaving because he wasn't going to start in a Berry/Thompson/Doughty/Morgan infield in 2022 and wasn't going to start in a White/Thompson/Dugas/Morgan infield in 2023.
